Story: Founded in 1881 by Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet in Le Brassus, Audemars Piguet is one of the oldest watch manufactures owned by the original families. Their descendants carried the family names through war and crisis, creating such innovations as the first watch with a jumping hour display and the thinnest pocket watch caliber. Other innovations followed, such as the first wristwatch with a perpetual calendar and the first automatic tourbillion. Though most renown for its Millenary and Royal Oak collections, Audemars Piguet released many watches outside of named collections. The present watch, dating from the 1980s, comes in an unusual ultra-thin rectangular tonneau case. Its attractive 34mm length and rare case would prove an attractive addition to any collection.

Every Watch Has a Story is in no way affiliated with Audemars Piguet and does not claim to be. We simply love their products and make them available to our customers who enjoy surrounding themselves with the best of the best.
