The case and sapphire crystal are curved from top to bottom and from left to right; a convex profile more difficult to shape than a case with straight lines. The dauphine hands are delicately curved by hand to fit the shape of the dial perfectly. Various details such as the applied Arabic numerals, small seconds counter and the railway minute track are inspired by the first Vintage 1945 model.

The Story: Girard-Perregaux is a high-end Swiss producer of exquisite watches. Its origins date back to 1791, when it was foundered by watchmaker and goldsmith Jean-Francois Bautte. More than sixty years later Constant Girard founder of Girard and Cie and the married Marie Perregaux. Thus, Girard-Perregaux was born in 1856.
The company holds approximately eighty patents in the watchmaking domain and has a long history of innovation. The Girard-Perregaux company, for example, was the first to produce a wristwatch for commercial production in 1880. This is a brand that does not get anywhere near as much attention as it should. Both our modern and vintage collections demonstrate that Girard-Perregaux watches are a perfect combination of class, refinement, and luxury.
Every Watch Has a StoryTM is in no way affiliated with Girard-Perregaux and does not claim to be. We simply love their products and make them available to our customers who enjoy surrounding themselves with the best of the best.
